Susan and her husband Mark established their family foundation, the Lampert Byrd Foundation, 15 years ago, investing resources and time in youth-serving organizations in the Bay Area and beyond. Susan serves as a trustee of the Foundation and oversees the Environmental Stewardship grants program. Susan also serves on the board of the West Marin Fund, the grants committee of the Stinson-Bolinas Community Fund, and as an advisory council member of the National Park Foundation. A clinical social worker for thirty years, Susan provides parenting workshops and family counseling services to families in San Francisco and Marin.
