Quarterly Community Sessions: Strengthening the Field

December 9 , 11:00 am 12:00 pm PST

Whether due to policy changes, funding pressures, or community needs on the ground, nonprofits and funders alike are navigating rapidly shifting conditions.

Blue Sky’s Quarterly Community Sessions are a recurring space for funders, nonprofits, and partners to share what they’re working on, surface what they need from the field, and explore opportunities for collaboration. Check out our recent blog post to learn how this space came about and highlights from our first session!

On our upcoming December call, we’re excited to hear from the Conservation Capacity Project, a project fiscally sponsored by the Windward Fund that provides free capacity building advisory services and access to expert guidance to U.S. nonprofits working with communities to conserve our land, wildlife, and waters for people and nature.

These conversations are designed to keep funders connected not only to each other, but the voices of movement leaders and practitioners on the ground, and help ensure Blue Sky remains responsive to both our funder members and the greater community working to advance nature connection and outdoor access.

What to expect:

  • Open, facilitated dialogue with peers across the field
  • Depending on the size of the group, we may utilize breakout groups and tools such as Miro boards
  • Opportunities to explore partnerships and share needs

Key takeaways from the conversation will be shared with Blue Sky members.

Who this is for:

  • Community partners and nonprofit leaders
  • Blue Sky members
  • Funders and practitioners interested in collaborative learning

We hope you’ll join us and add your voice to the conversation!

To encourage a space of honesty and transparency, this call will not be recorded, but we will take notes for attendees to reference.
