Blue Sky hosts a variety of events throughout the year where members and funder partners are invited to learn, network, and collaborate. Blue Sky events are open to funders, Blue Sky advisors, and invited speakers.

Nature-based early learning is a growing field of environmental education that has immense potential to inspire stewardship in young children, while also promoting health and well being.

    The Blue Sky Funders Forum and the Bay Area Environmental Education Funders Collaborative (EEFC) gathered funders to uncover the power of networks to help increase equitable access to the outdoors and all of its benefits. Featuring local and national leaders, this convening showcased examples of organizations, partnerships, and initiatives that are strengthening networks, expanding coalitions, and advancing the field.

    Despite the Administration’s previous recommendations to eliminate funding for environmental learning programs programs across multiple federal agencies, the FY18 omnibus budget bill signed on March 23 includes funding for critical programs that connect people to the outdoors through environmental learning, recreation, and community service. This webinar highlighted key areas of federal funding and their impacts on important programs that reach children, youth, and families across the country.
