Learning Series: A Deeper Understanding of Equity in Philanthropy

    This three-part, interactive learning series will offer funders the opportunity to reflect on and deepen their understanding of equity and inclusion concepts. Blue Sky is thrilled to partner with Youth Outside, who will facilitate this learning series to equip funders with actionable ways to implement equitable and inclusive philanthropic practices.

    Sessions:
    Advancing Equity and Inclusion in Philanthropy
    Monday, June 24, 2019
    2 pm – 3 pm Eastern / 11 am – 12 pm Pacific
    The first session will lay the groundwork for shared learning, identifying equitable and inclusive practices that participants can implement without “complete institutional overhauls.”

    Broadening Conversations, Engaging Leadership
    Monday, July 29, 2019
    2 pm – 3 pm Eastern / 11 am – 12 pm Pacific
    The second session will discuss strategies for expanding equity and inclusion conversations within organizations and will provide tools for engaging leadership for increased buy-in.

    Part 3: Deepening Commitments
    Monday, August 26, 2019
    2 pm – 3 pm Eastern / 11 am – 12 pm Pacific
    In the final session, participants will be invited to explore their own readiness to deepen commitments to equity and inclusion. Topics will include brave spaces, discomfort, and vulnerability in these efforts.

    Cost:
    This series is free for Blue Sky member funders. Participation is open to non-member funders for a registration fee of $700. Participants are strongly encouraged to register for the entire series, but may opt to register for parts 1 and/or 2 individually ($250 per session for non-members). Part 3 is open only to participants who register for the entire series.
