Funder Webinar on Nature-Based Early Learning

A positive and caring attitude toward the environment is a critical component of environmental literacy, and research shows that most attitudes are formed early in life. Nature-based early learning is a growing field of environmental education that has immense potential to inspire stewardship in young children, while also promoting health and well being. This webinar highlighted evidence for the benefits of connecting to nature in early childhood, best practices and tools developed by leaders and researchers in the field, and efforts to promote equity and access to early childhood environmental and outdoor education. In addition, presenters shared insights on advancing this work through policy, advocacy, and strategic funding.
