Funder Webinar on Federal Policy

Despite the Administration’s previous recommendations to eliminate funding for environmental learning programs programs across multiple federal agencies, the FY18 omnibus budget bill signed on March 23 includes funding for critical programs that connect people to the outdoors through environmental learning, recreation, and community service. This webinar highlighted key areas of federal funding and their impacts on important programs that reach children, youth, and families across the country. Policy experts shared examples of work made possible by specific funding streams, and offered insight on how future funding changes could affect programs that connect Americans with the outdoors.

This was the first in a series of policy webinars that Blue Sky will host in partnership with NAAEE and OAK in 2018.
