Kelly Keena

    Kelly Keena is chair of the National Environmental Education Advisory Council (NEEAC), a group of leaders that advise the EPA on environmental education. She is also co-founder and principal of Blue Lotus Consulting and Evaluation, LLC. Her background includes field work and administration in environmental education, international study of cultural geography and the environment, formal classroom work as a licensed teacher and instructional coach, and two honorarium faculty positions working with pre-service teachers in science methods of instruction. Her research interests include children's connections to nature, specifically in green schoolyards, and the use of participatory research methods to understand the narratives that emerge from environmental education. Kelly has a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from the University of Colorado.
