Judy Braus

    Judy Braus is executive director of the North American Association for Environmental Education (NAAEE), which strives to create healthier communities that empower local communities, stakeholders, and individuals to help restore and protect the environment. She was previously senior vice president of education and centers at the National Audubon Society, overseeing an extensive nationwide network of nature centers and educators. Prior to that, she led education programs at World Wildlife Fund (WWF), the U.S. Peace Corps, and the National Wildlife Federation (NWF). Judy has extensive experience and success in community engagement, is a proven fundraiser working to raise over $35 million for education and conservation, has developed and implemented well-known and widely used education materials, and is committed to developing strong, lasting relationships and partnerships. Judy holds a master's degree in Environmental Education and Communication from George Mason University and enjoys biking and hiking, particularly the MS Challenge in Eastern Maryland.
