Don Baugh

    Don Baugh is president and founder of Upstream Alliance, a nonprofit organization that connects people to nature using education and leadership expeditions. Formerly vice president for education and 38 year veteran of the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, Don is recognized as a national leader in environmental education programs and policies including founding the No Child Left Inside Coalition and successfully advocating for the nation’s first high school graduation requirement for environmental literacy. Don’s hallmark has been to promote connecting students, teachers, principals, school administrators, supporters and environmental leaders to life changing outdoor field experiences. In addition, he is an expedition leader for over 200 multi-day informal seakayak adventures for thousands of environmental leaders, which have become the genesis of expedition based leadership development programs through Upstream Alliance. Don holds a bachelor's degree in Conservation from University of Maryland and enjoys kayaking on the coastal waters of the United States, Europe, and Costa Rica.
